Coding For PWDs (CodeABLE)

People with physical impairments who are unable to use traditional input devices (i.e. mouse and keyboard) are often excluded from technical professions (e.g. web development). For us at PMhub, we learned that people with disabilities represent one of the largest untapped talent pools and we are committed to leveraging technology to help open doors to create bigger opportunities for them. We aim to explore the potential of combining multiple alternative methods of input (i.e. gaze interaction, speech recognition, and large mechanical switches) to make coding more accessible for people with physical impairments. Our aim is to create a platform that supports disabled people in developing professional-level skills around software/application development, thus exposing them to new career opportunities.
